Squamous cell carcinoma (Spinaliom)

Is highly assosiated with UV radiation exposure especially in light-skinned people. Precancerous lesions are actinic keratosis and Morbus Bowen.

The tumour can grow in an infiltrative manner and metastasize. It is therefore crucial to undergo screening for the detection of skin cancer regularly so it can be diagnosed in it's early stages and thus be surgically removed. Follow up evaluations are strongly recommended.
