Computer assisted Videodermatoscopy

Dermatoscopy is a method of diagnosing benign, premalignant/precancerous and malignant skin lesions. We use a digital video assisted dermatoscope to assess lesions and can observe them enlarged on a computer screens.

Each patient has his/her own data file where previously scanned lesions are stored in the form of photos and can directly be compared to the present lesions during the skin evaluation and every other following check-up.

• early melanoma diagnosis
• better differentiation
• reduction of unnecessary skin biopsies
• objectivity and high resolution microscope which enables clearer and better differentiation between benign and malign lesions
