Peelings: Chemical skin resurfacing

Surface peels enable you to have a fresher more youthful looking skin and a finer skin structure. Skin blemishes and slight pigmentation problems are resolved. Acne, too can be effectively treated using this as an adjuvant method. Deeper wrinkles and scars are unfortunately unaffected by this method of treatment.

We offer the following peels
  • Fruit acid peels (AHA, Neostrata®)
  • TCA peels 15-20% (Tri-Chlor-Acetic-Acid)
  • Jessner Peel (salicylic acid)
  • New! Biomedic® (5-10% LHA, LaRochePosay)
In an individual consultation we will determine which peel is the most suitable for you. The advantages of a surface peel is that you can still be seen in public as there is only slight redness and flaking of the skin which can be effectively covered up with make-up.

Most peels require a pretreatment of about 2 weeks. The actual peel is then applied in a series of sittings 2-4 weeks apart. During this time and for a while later you will need UV protection and cosmetics and creams particularly formulated to suit your individual needs.
